A SUN PEAKS RESORT MOUNTAIN WEDDING // BRITISH-COLUMBIA
Val, a girl from Ontario, has always wanted to move near the mountains. When she finally got a job working at BC Parks, she met this cute guy named Kevin. He was her boss, but their relationship eventually left the workplace… and now the rest is history. ♥︎
The day started off at the Sun Peaks Grand Hotel in Sun Peaks Resort, British Columbia. This tiny ski town was absolutely adorable. We then headed down to the covered bridge, still in Sun Peaks, for the ceremony. It rained a little (or maybe a lot!) but I don’t think anyone really minded (I know I didn’t!). Val and Kevin ended the ceremony with the kissing rock – it’s a heart-shaped rock that has become a tradition for any couple getting married in this location. They both kissed the rock and walked back up the aisle, smiling ear to ear.
We stuck around the bridge for some wedding party portraits and a few newlyweds portraits as well! Then (my favourite part of the day!), we went up the chairlifts to take even more photos at the top of the mountain. The views were breathtaking. Despite some more rain and having to go to the chalet to wait it out (it was reaaaally coming down), we had lots of time to wander around and take many photos.
The evening ended with a delicious meal and lots of dancing at the Masa’s Bar and Grill. If you’re curious to see some behind the scenes from the full day, I have some Instagram Stories pinned in my profile! View them in the Wedding BTS highlights.
Val and Kevin – Thank you a million times over for allowing me to be a part of your special day.
A huge thanks to all the vendors…
