AN ALBERTA LEGISLATURE GROUNDS CHRISTMAS ENGAGEMENT
When Kristen and Haylen suggested the idea we do their engagement photos on the Alberta Legislature Grounds, at night, with sparklers, I was very excited! (*but to be honest, a little nervous 😉)
Shooting outside at night in the dark is a challenge. Add sparklers and below-freezing temperatures in the mix and we have a real challenge!! But, with some planning and their amazing patience, I’m super happy with the results!
As you scroll through these photos, you’ll notice that we started the session in day-light. We walked around to the back of the Legislature, then headed onto the High-Level bridge. Next, we made our way to the super cool black and white graffiti tunnel, where the High-level Streetcar runs. There, we lit a few sparklers and waited for the sun to fall. When it got dark, we headed back to the front of the Legislature and enjoyed the Christmas lights. And like it couldn’t get any more pretty, a little snow started to fall and made everything just a little more magical.
“Emilie did our engagement photo shoot and she was super amazing to work with! Our session was loads of fun, and the photos we got back were stunning. We couldn’t recommend her more! :)” -Kristen + Haylen
