Hello friends!

I'm the wedding photographer for the adventurous couple that wishes to exchange their vows in the most sacred of settings. The great outdoors!

I also created an e-book for fellow photographers who are interested in learning how to shoot in manual-mode! Check it out below. :) It's free!

5 Podcasts for Creative Entrepreneurs

5 OF MY FAVOURITE PODCASTS AND A FEW OTHER SUGGESTIONS

I only discovered podcasts about 6 months ago, but since then, they are all I ever listen to! I don’t tune in to the radio when driving anymore or I don’t play my iTunes while making dinner either… I’ll just listen to my favourite podcast. Like most creatives I know, once you start listening, you just can’t stop! Because if you’re anything like me, if I’m going to spend an afternoon lazing around in the sun, I might as well be learning something while doing so! Total win-win!

Wether you’re tuning into these little information gold-mines while driving, jogging, dusting or showering (yes, I went there), here are a few that you’re sure to love.

The Creative Empire Podcast

This is the very first podcast I listened to. I fell in love with the dynamic that Reina and Christina have on the show. It’s fun, light, easy to listen to, but jam packed (like, I mean JAM PACKED) with useful information. They’ll chat with other creative industry leaders about things like dealing with imperfections as business owners and how to make the transition from side hustle to a full time gig.

A couple of my favourite episodes:

49: Building Relationships as an Introvert, with Brooke Saxon-Spencer

69: How to Find Your Authentic Purpose, with Kelly Newsome Georges

The Market Beautifully Podcast

I don’t remember how I fell across this podcast, but I am so happy I did! Haley, the host of this podcast, is so bubbly, cheery and inviting that you immediately feel like you’re listening to an old friend. She goes into the nitty gritty of marketing, but breaks it down into simple actionable steps and easy to understand bites. After listening to an episode, I always have a list of real-life tangible steps that I can implement right away in order to make real changes to the way I market myself online and on social media!

A couple of my favourite episodes:

04: Formatting a Blog Post that Converts

12: Anxiety and Depression Remedies for Online Business Owners

The Goal Digger Podcast

When I heard that Jenna was starting a podcast, I was so happy! Alex calls me a #fangirl, but to not sound toooo creepy, let’s just say I’m a huge fan of her work as a photographer and the business she has created. I sincerely admire her and for that reason, I soak in any little bits of information I can from her! Jenna’s podcast is a great mix of life confessions, educational content, interviews with industry leaders and of live one-on-one coaching sessions. I love the live coaching sessions – it’s really nice to be able to relate to the “problems” that other entrepreneurs are facing, because it’s comforting to realize that you aren’t alone feeling a certain way or struggling with a certain issue.

A couple of my favourite episodes:

06: How to Pack a Punch with Words, with Ashlyn Carter

29: 10 Ways to Create a Content Calendar

The Coffee Commute

I only discovered this Podcast a month or so ago, but I am in love! I was already a big fan of the Rising Tide Society and Natalie Franke, so getting on board with this podcast was just natural for me. I love the zen feeling that Natalie and her co-host (also co-founder of RTS) Davey bring. Their voices are soft and soothing (is that starting too sound creepy?!) and the subjects they take on are also super interesting – from the latest business tools and tips to a behind the scenes look at The Rising Tide Society. Another aspect I really like is the length of the podcast! The name gives it away, but the podcast averages 20 minutes and even though I don’t have a morning commute, it’s the perfect length for my daily yoga class commute!

A couple of my favourite episodes:

Caitlin Joyce Interview – How to Travel

A Beautiful Morning Routine

The TED Radio Hour Podcast

This podcast is a little different than the 4 above, but still a very important one on my list. You’re probably already familiar with TED Talks (if not, they’re definitely worth a listen!) and if you love them, you’ll surely also love the podcast! Hosted by Guy Raz, this podcast takes on a different subject every week, from screens to human happiness and replays bits and pieces of past TED talks all related to this same subject. I love this concept because I get to discover new speakers and new TED Talk episodes to go watch in full later!

A couple of my favourite episodes:

Screen Time

Simply Happy

A few more suggestions:

Although the above podcasts are my current obsessions, I have a few more that are high up on to-listen-list…

Naptime Empires, with Nikki Elledge Brown

She Percolates, with Jen Hatzung and Danielle Spurge

Business With Purpose, with Molly Stillman

Being Boss: Mindset, Habits, Tactics and Lifestyle for Creative Entrepreneurs, with Emily Thompson & Kathleen Shannon

Radiant Podcast, with Kelsey Chapman

Productivity Paradox Podcast, with Tonya Dalton

The Joyful Pursuit Podcast, with Hayley and Tabatha

So there you have it! My favourite podcasts as of today… because I’m sure that these new ones on the list will soon become my favourites as well!
